Hi, I'm Jamie.

I describe myself as a yoga teacher, philosopher, truth seeker and peace activist. Yoga didn’t save my life, it taught me how to save my own life. It’s why I made a decision in 2016 to leave the corporate world to teach yoga. To follow my calling to help build a kinder, more peaceful and balanced world by empowering humans of all ages to free our souls and unleash our individual superpowers.

All of my teachings are rooted in the the belief that our physical bodies are our gateway to all of our experiences. As our “first responders,” our five senses provide all of the information that we need to accurately discern the truth and find peace in any situation when our bodies are healthy, our hearts are open, and our minds are quiet. This is presence. And it is the liberation that our yoga practice offers.

I honor the Krishnamacharya lineage.

My teachers and influencers

An ever-evolving list of favorite resources that guide me towards my highest self, influence my teachings,
and are offered here for you to explore on your own.
The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. Yoga's foundational text with a modern, relatively easy to read translation by Sri Swami Satchidananda.
The Heart of Yoga by T.K.V. Desikachar. My favorite guide to understanding the mind, body, spirit connection and the benefits of our Kriya yoga practice.
Reverend Connie Habash, my personal mentor,  spiritual guide and author of Awakening from Anxiety.
Dr. Juko Holiday's teachings offer a path to spiritual liberation through yoga, therapy and meditation.
Boundaries. Written for a Christian audience, but applicable to all of us, Drs. John Townsend and Henry Cloud illuminate when to say yes and when to say no to liberate the mind and spirit.
Brené Brown, author of Dareing Greatly (and many other books), taught me how to overcome self-destructive perfectionism and embrace vulnerability to live wholeheartedly.
Sarah Blondin offers incredibly loving, raw and honest guided meditations to embrace our whole selves and Live Awake.
